I gave the talk ‘Sociologies of the videoludic. Or what video games tell us about the social’ for Sociology undergraduate students at the University of the Basque Country. I went over -in a sociological tone- some of the social aspects that are possible to approach through the study of video games: agency, assemblages, political rationalities, the prosthetic, technobodies, experiences, identities, and so on. And a fundamental idea in the background: not only are video games a tool for studying the social, but the social can be understood, progresively more, in videoludic terms.
